Era Verde Inc “EV” is a services organization world-wide exclusively licensed for the treatment of oil, fuel oil and industrial wastewater treatment using Green Patented Technology.

EV licensed proprietary patented technology utilizes different low and high frequencies to achieve harmonics, changing the intermolecular and intramolecular structure of fluids. EV has targeted three areas for the roll out that can be clearly demonstrated for their commercial feasibility and value:

EV Has more than 20 years of combined experience through its integrants, in the petroleum and the Industrial wastewater industry, we know that technology change, and we are constantly striving to adapt and improve our methodologies.

EV’s technology changes the existing paradigm of breaking oil emulsions either using solvents and/or heat distillation extraction. EV’s Technology requires no heat or solvents to break inter and intramolecular bonds and separate water from an oil emulsion. It is an ultra-low energy method for separating oil from water and contaminants from water, so that the carbon footprint in the traditional petroleum industry can be dramatically reduced. It can be referred to as Low Energy Refining.

No other Technology may be necessary or can perform the function of the separation like EV’s technology.

In embodiments, chemicals, EV’s technology may be used to assist in the separation if necessary, depending on the oil water emulsion.

All oil contains some water, so this is for all oil streams including refined oils, fuels, alcohols, ethanol, diesel and Bunker type fuels. The process can also be used for desulfurization of oils and fuels.

How it works?

EV’s technology is designed to break the inter and intramolecular bond of fluids. It’s inherent design breaks both inter (weak molecular bonds) and intra (strong molecular bonds). It has clearly demonstrated the ability to do one or both in fluid emulsions. Independent of the emulsion constituents there is always both an inter and intramolecular bond separation. This separation results in the fluid consistently separating into its separate components by either specific gravity or into a filterable suspension. Furthermore, fluids can be processed to a desired separation by Specific Gravity Fluid Tank Separation or Gas Chromatography Analysis. For instance, Fuel Oil can be reduced to smaller chains. This results in a drastic reduction of viscosity and chemical composition of the mixture. This is far beyond what traditional Technologies can do and has ever been imagined to be accomplished.

How it works?

There are many ways one can reduce the viscosity of oils, including heavy oils such as bitumen in oil sands and oil contaminated solutions. This may be necessary for enabling transportation of bitumen from the well to a refinery or the recycling of the oil in the oil contaminated solutions.

EV’s technology is used, in embodiments, to reduce the viscosity of oil containing fluid materials, such as oil-in-water emulsions, by breaking intermolecular bonding between the oil and other fluids and the other components in the fluid material. By breaking the bonds between the oil and other substances in the fluid, the fluid material becomes less viscous. In addition, due to cracking that may be experienced by the oils in the fluid, smaller hydrocarbon chains become less viscous.

Testing conducted in the US in 2020 demonstrated that heavy waste oil emulsions can be broken, cracked and separated cleanly and completely both by gravity separation and centrifugal separation without the use of heat and the addition of chemicals. One of the consistent differences in the treated oil that was separated from the emulsion was its extremely low viscosity, even at subzero temperatures. In addition, its ability to very cleanly separate from water using a standard unmodified centrifuge without the use of heat or chemicals. Another important benefit of EV’s oil treatment is the significant reduction in sulfur, mercury, and other contaminants. Testing has demonstrated reduction in oil sulfur content from 1.4% to <0.1%, which is significantly below current modern Marine Grade Fuel Standards of 0.5%. (IMO 2020).

Lab analysis demonstrated the oil had also molecularly changed with a great increase in lighter hydrocarbons, which has occurred without the addition of heat, chemicals or traditional catalysts used to crack crude oil.

How it works?

Well Oil production in fields may have decreased over time for example due to depletion or water break-through. That does not necessarily mean these fields have reached the end of their life.

As is well known to the oil industry, the average recoverable oil through primary and secondary recovery of a basin formation is around 30% of the IOIP (Initial Oil In Place) of most formations. EV’s Technology can recover up to 35% more of the oil from the same formation; this is equal to more than doubling the wells’ exploitation capacity to date and lifetime production.

EV will use existing secondary recovery infrastructure (i.e. water flood) and EV’s treated water. EV’s treated water when injected into existing wells formations, because of its intramolecular structure, will excite the downhole activities, and cause the oil to loosen from its formation, allowing it to flow with EV’s treated water up the formation.

EV has demonstrated complete separation of industrial wastewater, through EV’s treatment, with almost complete reduction of chemicals in excess of 90%. and 50% faster, EV will implement its licensed technology, through fixed and mobile plants to treat industrial wastewater streams in the oil, fuel oil and industrial wastewater verticals.

In the industrial Wastewater treatment, when the fluid is contaminated with Hydrocarbons or Fluorocarbons or also more difficult compounds such as Perfluorooctyl Sulfonate (PFOS).

Walter has worked in water treatment and large industrial energy since 1988. In 1990 he entered a contract for a 260 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant with Hydro Quebec. Walter has an extensive knowledge base of water and oil treatment, chemistries, filtration technologies and has developed a portfolio of issued novel water and fluids treatment separation patents.

Alfredo has over twenty-five years of experience in the environmental business field. VP of business development for Avangard Innovative latinamerica, CEO of SteriCycle Inc BHWT Mexico and is the founder of SHWM Queretaro SA de CV an Industrial Wastewater Treatment company utilizing Green Technology in Queretaro Mexico.

John Matthews - CTO

John is a graduate of Columbus University and a 9-year veteran of the US Navy Nuclear Program where he was in charge of a large aircraft carrier’s nuclear reactors and ancillaries. John has since worked in water treatment equipment and worked for Walter Bauer for over three years helping implement the
technology into oil, fuel oil and water applications.
